Vail Valley Dental Care - Dr. David Maloley

EDIT: This practice was sold and is under new management. The experience since the transfer of ownership has been terrible and I would no longer recommend this practice to anyone. The staff is friendly but the actual medical care is terrible. It’s a real shame. I was a very happy customer for a very long time and now I have to find a new dentist. One that can hopefully repair the damage this one did to my once healthy mouth. FORMER REVIEW: This is the best dental care one could ever ask for. Sarah and Sam are wonderful hygienists. They do great work and provide top notch customer care. Dr Maloley has put together an amazing operation. The equipment, the scheduling tools, the options for treatment are all the cutting edge of technological innovation. The X-ray machine, the tools for cleaning, etc; it all surpasses anything I have ever seen at any other dentist's office. Sincerely, I can't recommend Vail Valley Dental Care enough.

I have no idea how this place is reviewed so well (so many reviews, it seems shady). This place is completely unreliable. I am shocked at the standard of service of this dental practice. I have been rescheduled at the last minute several times. Not because of some emergency or something important came up, simply because he just chose not to come in that day. When I did get in the staff seemed unorganized and rude at times.

Had to have a crown replaced. They are the best. Got me in quickly and my new crown fits perfect. Better than the old one ever did. Everyone in the office is so great to work with.

Unprofessional. Sold me tooth whitening gel applicator that was not in a box, had no instructions, AND was opened already. When this practice was questioned about a service, I was written a letter from the dentist saying I had (a long) list of complaints. I did not. One question. The dentist never contacted me to discuss question. Dropped me as a patient. Incredible. This person was recommended by a friend who is a dentist in Omaha. He was shocked. So am I. Of course, he this dentist did't mind seeing me and collecting his $$ for services when he knew he was going to drop me. The mission of this dentist, according to his website, is to work hard at building friendships. This couldn't be farther from the truth. I would question the accusation of "disrespect." I had one question and one question only and was upset. I think the fingers are pointing the wrong direction. Disrespect when you sell something that was already opened for use in my mouth. Disrespect when you don't bother to follow through and listen to the patient. Disrespect when you have a mission to build friendships and never even tried. So, I would reiterate- how would you know if you didn't bother to call me and hear what I had to say at all? The dentist is the owner of this practice, not his staff. And as long as you would like to throw accusations (the letter was craziness), I will do so as well. I will be vocal in the community. Because, my friends and acquaintances care about my side of the story. And apologize for selling something to me that was not only incomplete, but opened by someone? A real mystery as to why a dentist would do something like that.
