The Blue Plate

Complete joke of an experience. We called ahead wanting to sit outside the patio for the happy hour specials. They placed our group in another area and our waitress promptly told us we didn’t sit in the right area. Okay, so they moved us. Waitress left us sitting for an extra 10 minutes. Drinks were terrible. I asked the waitress for a straw for I could at least stir my drink. I asked her 3 times. She never came and each time my drink sat. Food was alright. The bus girl worked harder than the waitress. Our waitress never asked us how our meal was or if we even liked it. Once the check came I paid cash and I always hand my waiter their cash tip greater than $20 bill. Welp,she blew that too! She cussed at me and that was that. We left. Called back to talk to the owner and she frankly couldn’t care less. We will never go back here not ever recommend this place for anyone.

This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in Vail Valley. We took family from out of town for a nice dinner based on the reviews. I now know to look at the non-recommended reviews, they are all 1 stars! The food was bland, overpriced and poorly prepared. Also, our food orders were not brought out in the proper order. They only brought out one of our two appetizers and didn't bring out the soup that was ordered until everyone was finished with their entrees. The fish and chips, meatloaf, and "American" onion soup was at best, diner quality. It is over priced, the service is subpar, and the the ambiance leaves something to be desired.

Delicious lunch at Blue Plate this afternoon! We had the chicken salad sandwich special with cole slaw and the Greek salad with chicken. Did not disappoint! We sat outside and the servers and owner were very friendly. We will be back!
