Hughes Mechanical was recommended to me by one of my neighbors who stated that they were fair, fast, professional and knowledgeable. So when our air conditioner started squealing and the fan was barely turning I decided to give them a try. I called and spoke to Kevin, and he was at my house less than a half hour later. He checked out the air conditioner and said he needed to replace the condenser fan motor. He actually had one with him in his van and also replaced the capacitor at no cost since he was in there anyway. His price was about $200 less than I was expecting it to be from my online research and he was finished with the job in less than an hour. I was so pleased with the service and the price and was so happy to not be without my air conditioner even for an afternoon when it broke that I'm recommending Hughes mechanical to all of my friends and neighbors too. Thank you Kevin!! You were great!!
Am now editing my review 2 years later. Needed service on AC again, because it was running it's little butt off but not cooling. Naturally I called Kevin at Hughes Mechanical again because he did such a great job last time. And again the service and professionalism was amazing! Even though he had other jobs to do that day, he still made time the same evening to stop by and fix the problem. It seems there was some insulation inside the furnace that had come loose because it was 19 years old and was causing an air flow problem which made the AC freeze up and not cool the house. Kevin had to do some investigating to find it and pull it out which instantly solved the problem. I think most other contractors would have just told me the ac was old and I had to replace it. I'm so grateful for the time Kevin made to squeeze me in without an appointment and his same friendly and professional attitude! Also, his price was fantastic!! He didn't even want to charge me at all but of course I paid him anyway, because he absolutely deserved it. Am definitely going straight to Hughes Mechanical anytime I need HVAC service and you should too! Service: AC repair
