Colorado Adventure Rentals

Colorado adventures did not disappoint! They set us up, gave us directions for the trails, and sent us on our way. We had never been atving before and we had a blast. We did Slaughter House Gulch and went up to see the cemetery( which was really neat) then we went up and did Neapolitan pass which was a steep and rocky climb up, but it was worth it! We only did the 4 hour rental and had wished we done the full day so we could’ve stopped for a nice lunch break. Highly recommend, will be back with our kids one day!

Great day of riding turned sour. Let me explain. They provided some great rides, especially the Can-Am. Great day for riding (ride up to American Flag Mtn was great with good incline and not too much rough terrain) up to an awesome view. Really good stuff. Coming down from the top, though, was incredibly challenging. I'm a seasoned rider and nearly flipped on one of the uneven switchbacks. Not much warning at all, nor useful info besides warning us how expensive these rides were. Great, thanks. Unfortunately, one of my friends DID roll the 4 wheeler on this turn. Ended up crushing in the driver side door to where it couldn't open. We understand that we signed up for this and were willing to compensate. Let's get into why I'm giving them 1-star, though. First, besides general directions around the loop, the lack of heads up was awful. He spent more time scorning us about being safe than what to actually watch out for. Again, I'm a seasoned rider and that stuff was rough. Second, handling this issue. We knew we would have to pay us an amount. They initially were nice about it and quoted us $686 to fix the door after getting some quotes. Respectable, sounds about what I ballparked when I talked to the guy. I provided the contact info for the gentleman who had the accident and that was that. So I thought. Sometime between 9/10 and 9/21 they decided to raise the price to fix to $2,692. That is EONS away from what a reasonable repair should be for that damage. I got a heads up THE DAY OF that my friend hadn't responded to them and that they were charging my card. They then charged me the full amount. Third, no description of why they suddenly changed the amount. No quote was provided either time for the damage done. Why it changed so drastically between the day of the incident and 9/21. Nothing. Finally, I can't even get in touch with them. When I was looking through my CC statement and found this gem of a charge, I immediately tried calling them multiple times to no avail. No email or anything to contact them through on the website. Bottom line: Vehicles were great, trail was good, but everything else was absolutely terrible. No waivers for us to sign at the place (and no service at the rental location so can't sign there) which is terrible business practice to not have a backup to the e-sign. No good heads up about the trails other than telling us how expensive the vehicles are (maps they provided weren't great, either, so make sure you have the CO TREX app). Horrible handling of this charge when I gave them ample time of who to direct the charge to. And can't even contact them to work this out. One awesome day isn't worth the headache of dealing with this.

My buddy and I were on a 2 week road trip through CO mainly for hiking and mtn biking. However, neither of us had ever been on ATVs and we wanted to rent some while in Crested Butte. The owner, Kyle, answered all of our questions (even called us from his personal cell phone when we had more specific questions about the trails), got us booked with rentals and all set up in no time. When we arrived at the trails (about a 1 hr drive from their store in Crested Butte), Kyle was waiting promptly and had the ATVs ready to go. He gave a very thorough explanation on the machines, safety, trail map info, etc. Super nice guy that wants his guests to have a good experience. And then the fun- these ATVs and trails are AWESOME! Granted, this was our first time on ATVs but we were amazed at what the machines could handle on the trail.. and with ease. Absolutely awesome performance! Hands down- one of the highlights of our CO trip. We had a blast! Knowing how much fun the experience was my only regret is that we didn't book a full day (we booked a half day) or multiple days. Absolutely worth the money - great time! Highly recommend Kyle and Colorado Adventure Rentals in Crested Butte, CO.

Me and my dad rented a machine from Colorado adventure rentals last weekend and had a wonderful time exploring the Colorado back country. The staff was very helpful and suggested a route that is exactly what we were looking for. Kyle and Doug were both very helpful with providing local insights on good restaurants and things to see as well.

These guys run a great operation! Nice machines, and They had helmets that fit all three of my kids ages 3 1/2, 7, and 9. The location is much better than the trading post, and the staff is friendly and not rude like the guys down the road at the trading post!
