I own many Dobyns Rods and they are hands down the best rods I've ever used. I started out buying one, but quickly replaced my whole tournament line up with Dobyns

Its a nice feeling rod for Stripers. I used them all from St. Croix to Loomis, and this rod seems right up there with some of the best. However I got a major complaint , which is the reason I do not take it fishing anymore. When I sit my rod down and get another, I put covers over the lure so they do not get me in the sandal or into my boat lines. The hook holder is seeded way to far back, which conflicts with my reel area, and no way to put on a lure cover. Move the darn thing back to where everyone else puts theirs's for goodness sake. I really like the rod, but cannot use it. I put on hold getting the medium light one since I am no longer using the med heavy one.

I’ve been bass fishing pretty heavily for about two years now. Huge Lew’s fan but when it came to finding the best cranking rod with the best sensitivity my local bait shop, Greenville Marine, in Eastern NC recommended the Dobyns Champion series. I was a little hesitant at first spending $249 on a rod with no reel. At the time my most expensive rod was only $149. I bit the bullet and I’m so glad I did. I’ve caught so many fish on this set up cranking. I’ve got three cranking setups rigged always but the champion series is my go to rod and definitely my favorite rod overall. I can definitely see more Dobyns Rods in my future.
