I had a great haircut experience with Jez!  He was very professional and paid very close attention to detail while cutting and styling my hair. Jez has been cutting hair for a very long time and charged a very reasonable price for west hollywood.   Highly recommend!

I had my first haircut with Jez in 2018 and I've been coming to Fusion Hair salon since then. I have big, thick hair and Jez always knew which types of haircut would fit me better. He was the only hairstylist I trusted enough to cut my bangs, and I loved it!Jez and the whole staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.I'm really glad I found this place!

I set an appointment online with Jez for 10am, and was told quite unceremoniously that the booking system wasn't working properly (then why did I get email confirmations?) and that he couldn't take me till 3pm. Not much apology, just a promise of free polish and conditioner to make up for it. I was pissed but agreed to come back at 3.I came back for 3pm and explained what I wanted, which was a blunt bob with the back length around chin-length and the front length slightly A-line to frame my face. I have extremely thick hair and also asked for internal layers to decrease the weight (I had done my research on techniques and also consulted with a hairstylist friend on the east coast). I asked for my hair to be cut with a center-part even though I don't wear it that way, so that I can style a side-part in either direction. I also apologized for being emotional when getting the news about the schedule mix-up.Jez said no to the layers and said texturizing would fix it (it didn't). My hair is chin-length most of the way around, with the front pieces actually shorter than the back of my hair (the exact opposite of what I asked for). Texturizing did almost nothing to remove the weight from my hair. He kept my hair center-parted and blow-dried with a round brush, which added volume I clearly did not want and made it apparent that he had given me a mushroom haircut. He was unable to see an uneven section of my hair because he cut it while combed back from how it naturally falls, and blamed it on a cowlick (even though he had just dried it with tension on a round-brush and then flat-ironed it afterwards).Jez even made a comment that I must get a lot of bad haircuts because my hair is so thick, and I have to say this is absolutely the worst one. Still paid full price and tipped 20% because I also work in customer service and respect people's time, but wasn't given the product he promised at 10am and was disappointed that he didn't offer a discount or any incentive to make up for the 5-hour delay and the haircut that I clearly wasn't happy with. He said to live with it and if I wasn't happy I could come back to him, but I won't because he didn't listen to anything I said besides "chin-length" and didn't give me what I wanted at all. There's no way to add 1.5 inches of hair to my front lengths during a salon appointment, and I don't trust what he would do with the rest of my hair if I came back in. I'm super disappointed because it seems he has really nice reviews, and this is super close to where I live, but from beginning to end this was not the experience I was looking for.
