It was the worst experience ever with this clinic I found from the MESVision. I made reservations nearly a month ago after providing my insurance information. Wired was they couldnt find it once I arrived and presented my insurance cards. I was told my insurance was not covering and I had to leave. Minutes late, I got through the service line and the lady talked to the front desk directly on the phone to straighten up. They eventually found it but told us to reschedule. We understood it but only 14 minutes after the appointment while we reserved for two patients and it took us nearly an hour to drive down to the clinic. At least one of us should be treated but no way. It was the most ridiculous experience we have had ever.

I saw DR. CHENG one week ago and it was one of the best experiences with an ophthalmologist. I highly recommend him. Excellent staff, very friendly and efficient at the Watsonville office.

Dr. Solomon deserves these five stars herself. Kind, knowledgeable, and caring, she makes getting my eyes dilated the best part of my day. She asks about you and remembers the answers to talk more next time. What a sweet and caring woman. On top of that, my glasses and contacts are better than ever and I've got some great samples to try for eye drops. Only downside is the front desk staff can be hard to work with somethings. Records and insurance issues have happened to me in the past. Very long waits with COVID precautions now too. I appreciate the safety, but it always irks to wait 50mins when told 10. Worth it for Dr Solomon though!

My eye doctor referred me to Bay Eye Medical Group and Dr Cheng. The staff is wonderful, very helpful with insurance issues and the whole surgery prep. Dr. Cheng is absolutely awesome. I cannot believe how well I can see and no discomfort. I am so lucky to have such a great doctor and staff get me through this. I'm not sure about the other reviews, but my experience with Dr. Cheng and staff at both  the Watsonville and the Santa Cruz offices have been wonderful and all I could ask for.

I previously had eye surgery with another eye doctor. I've had nothing but eye troubles since. Recently I had such a bad infection, I went to Urgent Care. They gave prescription antibiotics. I made appointment with Dr. Hsei. Right from the instant he entered he acted angry, wouldn't make eye contact sat down with his back to me to look at his computer screen. First, he didn't like that my whole medical records were faxed to him. I don't blame him for that. Maybe he has to pay for the copies? I had only ordered my ophthalmology records to be sent. But, before I could explain that, he cut me off with "what are you here for?" I had already written that on the papers they have you fill out at the front desk (Didn't he read it?). I said I had the surgery and my eyes been red and irritated ever since, plus, now I can't see any better than when I first had the eye surgery. And I've had quite a few eye infections. Before I could explain further he interrupted that "you don't know what an eye infection is". I tried to explain that the eye doctor I had seen previously had ordered antibiotics each time, but he was already interrupting me. I didn't even get to explain my recent Urgent Care issue either. He just kept talking right over me while sitting with his back to me. He glanced at my eyes for a moment. The assistant had dilated and examined them beforehand.) He bluntly told me I needed more surgery to remove scar tissue that formed. Said we'd take care of my other eye issues some other time, and walked out the door telling the assistant to make an appointment for my eye surgery. I had no idea what kind of surgery he was talking about. When I asked the assistant, she went back and asked. He said YAG. Then she told the receptionist to make the appointment, which I couldn't get for two months. Before I left I asked the receptionist if there was any kind of pre-surgical instructions I needed. She acted as though I'd asked a strange question. "No", she said. Then I asked if there was any kind of paper that explained what a YAG surgery was. "Somewhere", she said. But, at least she got up and went to look for the little pamphlet that explained it. I left that tiny cramped office feeling disrespected and demeaned. I couldn't sleep that night running the whole scenario through my mind. What had I done to make him so angry and rude to me? Had I been rude? No. Was it my full record that he didn't want to look at? I'd apologized for that, tried to explain I hadn't ordered it that way. There was nothing I did to deserve being treated like trash. Needless to say, I called and cancelled the surgery. Maybe he would know exactly what he is doing, but his attitude didn't inspire any sense of trust in him.
