My experience with John is only direct in that I met with him once or twice while he was working with a family member. The amount of support, that family member felt, was immense. The boundaries, John was able to keep, which lead to my family member feeling safe, heard, supported and valued made all of the difference. Years later this family member has only the highest praises for John Osborn

Sounds like Mr. Osborne is a better therapist than mediator.  I am in the same profession and have never heard of a mediator that agreed to no phone calls (during each custodial time) for any child much less a toddler.  He is out of his league with high conflict situations and quite honestly made things worse.  There were serious accusations made and he was unable to properly assess safety of child involved.  The damage done will never be undone.

John was totally ineffective in dealing with our high conflict divorce. My spouse was continually dishonest with a history of abusive behavior and John was unable to be of any help at all. He had no ability to see through her dishonesty, continually acquiesced to her demands, and condemned me for being frustrated with his ineffective process.

John saw my son many years ago, when the family was going thru a bad time, and I was worried about my 8 year olds behavior.  He met with us (parents) once, and son a couple times.  I was disappointed at the time that he did not tell us what happened between him and my son, (professional confidentiality for an 8 year old...) but the outcome was a REMARKABLE change in behavior.  My son seemed settled and happy, able to accept what we were going thru.  We were fine for another decade. Whatever he did at the time helped my son process the changes, diffused his anger, and helped him cope in a very mature way.  Now 10 years later... with a sullen irritable non-communicative teen... John, we need you again!
