Richard Liao Acupuncture Herb

It was my first visit to Dr. Liao for migraines that I've experienced most of my life and it was a very good experience. The doctor is obviously very knowledgeable, experienced, kind, as well as efficient.  He explained why I was getting them and how to try to address them at home.  I don't know if the acupuncture was effective, but time will tell.  Unfortunately, he is closing his Walnut Creek office as of the end of 2022, but his Albany office will remain open.

Dr. Richard Liao is very professional and very knowledgeable.  He explains all procedures well and even gives an excellent advice in regards to my health condition.  Did not even feel the needle inserted.Clinic in Walnut Creek is clean and with calming music.  I highly recommend Dr. R. My adult child used him and I thought his instructions and treatment were top notch I used him for an urgent care matter on sciatica He is a great acupuncturist who has trained others. He doesn't push the herbs but has them and he takes many insurances including Blue shield and MediCal. I've used both offices. Both good.

I was referred here through worker's comp and have been receiving acupuncture weekly for an injury involving my hand/arm/shoulder. This is my first time receiving acupuncture treatment and I was not sure what to expect. Appointments can take up to an hour. They are actually quite relaxing and you don't even feel the needle when it is inserted. It's not something that leaves you feeling "fixed" after one treatment, but after coming here for a few weeks, I am definitely feeling like I am making plenty of healing progress. Couple acupuncture with physical therapy stretches and heat or ice as necessary - great for those who are not able to take pain medication or prefer a more natural approach.
