Mariel Fernandez, NP is an exceptional doctor with S&L Medical Group who took the time with me to review my medical file thoroughly and gave an assessment to my condition. Mariel tirelessly made an assessment to the severity of my service connected condition while completing a VA DBQ with a final assessment. This doctor is exceptional thru communication skills while showing compassion along the way. I highly consider patients to see her because she takes the time with each and every patient while being straight forward with her expertise. High level of extensive knowledge and care for patients. Went there for assistance in filing the I-693 needed for an Adjustment of Status through immigration. A week later they called to inform us that the documentation was ready for pick up which is standard procedure. We went there and wanted to review the paperwork which they said it was not needed. All we needed to review was the first page i.e. name, birthdate etc. We picked up the I-693 and took it to our lawyer for review. Lawyer tells us the results attached to the I-693 are inadequate. Now, we have to drive an hour and a half back to S & L Medical Group to have them re-do the documents to ensure USCIS doesnt kick them back once filed. They should have let us review all documents before we left. Now this just delays the process even longer.
