Like the other reviews, avoid this company! Check out the DOT complaints on this company. We used them to move our daughter from LA to Miami. Took over a month to get them to deliver. Then they told my daughter she had to pay more than what was on the bill of lading or they would not deliver. Fortunately she took a picture of it before they tried to change when they were delivering. They have not refunded her the difference yet after several requests. On top of that some items were lost and some damaged. They have not addressed those things either.

We used this company to move my mom from San Jose, CA to Springfield, IL. 1. They quoted 1300 approx. but charged $2100 approx. So, they low balled the estimate 2. The stuff arrived weeks later than it was supposed to and definitely the drivers and dispatch may just as well be from different planets. 3. Many of the items arrived damaged: -The 1.3k mattress arrived water damaged and scrunched so it was not usable -The tv stand arrived without its custom screws making it unusable -Picture frames with paintings were water damaged and broken -I just picked a few items... sufficient to say that the damage both physical and emotional was traumatic I felt like I have been terrorized by this moving company. I will do my best to let everyone know.

Only 1 star as there was nothing lower available. DO NOT use this company. They give you a written quote based on the inventory sheet you provide, then when they come to pick up your stuff the driver immediately says this is more than what was on the quote. Then asked what size truck delivered all this stuff. He based a recalculation of 600 cubic feet more stuff based on the size of the truck we used to move into the house, not taking into account we had one complete bedroom of furniture less than we did when we moved in. He charged us an extra $2203.00 more. He showed up with a truck that was already 3/4 full and wouldn't hold our stuff. He had to rent a uhaul to get all of our stuff loaded. We were in a position that we had to be out of the house that day! The driver that delivered our stuff to us a month later was an independent driver and very honest and told us that the amount of cubic feet we were charged for was far more than what was actually on the truck. 1600 cu ft charged for, 800 cu ft delivered. He would not accept the 2203.00 that was due at that time of delivery. He also stated that he had overheard the pickup driver bragging to another employee that he had really got over on the Nevada pickup. I notified McMovers that I would not pay the 2203.00 due on delivery balance. I never heard anything back from them. I repeat very strongly DO NOT use this company. Yes we got our stuff, minus one box, but they are a hassle to deal with and obviously a scam if they can get away with it. The owner wouldn't eve return my calls, always out never available. The employees use every excuse in the book to blow you off and deal with you.
