Motel 6 Van Nuys

I booked 4 rooms in checking in a saw and read a sign stating Motel 6 is renovated. The 4 rooms were new including the floors no carpet. All the carpeting leading to the rooms were filthy, filthy I was shock uncomfortable and concern. Why wasn't the floors at least in the hallways had new carpet installed? It was scary walking to my room thinking how is the room going to look inside it was good. The manager did tell me within a few weeks new name of the Motel will be Red Tin Roof.

i actually stayed here a few years back, when my husband and i came to LA. it was a nice experience. pretty cheap too, for staying for a week. Had a little kitchen thing and everything. 10/10 would recommend.

we have stayed at a Motel 6 before, but this location was really bad. the dirty carpets smelled and looked terrible. the room itself was not too bad & had a refrigerator!! most rooms don't even come with that, so thank you, because we had a baby traveling with us and needed his milk .. parking was terrible as well, we had 3 rooms, 3 cars. We had a full day, and no parking.. we told the front desk clerk, and he rudely said FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! my husband was so mad and confused!! how do you not have enough parking spaces for the rooms ?? by the time my sister pulls up in her car, he came outside and yelled, HOW MANY ROOMS???? so unprofessional and very upsetting. Street parking is out of the question, so that left us waiting for a parking spot, which luckily wasn't too long of a wait, but being it was after midnight, we could've been waiting til morning!! we will not stay at this location in the future, and will just put up the extra $40 or so to stay at a much cleaner hotel! I was embarrassed we picked this motel 6, as we had family members we urged to book here too

Wonderful experience. Hotel was in good location, price is great and front desk attendant, think his name is Raj; was excellent. Room was nice and clean. Little noise in the lobby but i can understand it was weekend.

The elevator smells like cigarettes, on top of that the room was not clean when we arrived. When you look at the bathroom you can tell someone had just left as the floor was wet. And a HOARD of cockroaches came out from the bathroom when we returned later in the evening. When we called, the front desk said we can change rooms in the morning, but until then there’s nothing they can do. Blankets have holes in them and the mattresses are beyond stained. The A/C doesn’t work and I cannot wait to get out of here.
