They need to reelect a new sherriff the one they have now isn't doing his job properly in just one months time two serious accidents accured on woods Valley rd and if he had any common sense at all he would have speed traps put in place to catch all these people who speed on this road every day.

Thanks to JEFF CHU a deputy who was so very reassuring during a very horrible night. Timmy Gleason passed away over a year ago. So my email is tied to his google account, not mine and so anyway....Sheriff assisted and were professional and concerned for him and a very late thanks for him. Also two days ago a horrific event took place when two people living here drank too much tequila and he stabbed her in the driveway here. Hes in prison for life shes recovering. Jeff Chu helped make the situation less frightful and is a calm kind pro. Thanks

At times, I like to share what I learn. This post is a must. For years--humble, committed, fair, and reliable citizens of San D. county's communities have been giving their all --as Senior Patrol Volunteers. Each of the sheriff subdivisions have their own dedicated volunteers. But, they share the same deep commonality: Each of these people has made our neighborhoods safer and our quality of life better. Each of these senior volunteers individually and as a team give each week--a daytime schedule they have personally chosen. Each of them manage a wide variety of interesting and reasonable duties and tasks--out of wanting the best for others, and ultimately, to do the right thing.
I learned the COVID risk is the reason they have been temporarily shut down. May the senior volunteers at the local PD and at the sheriff dept. continue to be healthy and strong through this crisis. Each of these people in their silent way have been stepping up and giving----long before COVID. Not everyone at 50 and older--wants to or is able to do what these volunteers tirelessly do.
In a few or several months, once this COVID situation is over, North, East, West, and South County will have volunteers back on the streets. Possibly, more people will notice these truly amazing groups of dedicated people at all corners of our large county. They each make an enormous difference. They saw the opportunity to do so and make it part of their active lives.
