    I am warning any and everyone to stay far away from freedom mortgage. I have been trying for over 70 days to refinance a home loan. I have so far gone through 3 loan officers. The lack of communication within internal departments is astonishing. The lack of communication with the customer is ever worst. People say they are going to do things but don’t do it. This has been the most unpleasant refinance/home buying experience ever. Let’s start from the beginning. I decided to refinance my home and obtained an interest rate of 2.875%. Great right? I was proactive turned in all my documents and waited patiently as I know these things take time. My first loan officer said you’re good to go. I have everything I need. About 2 weeks later I get an email from another loan officer asking me for the same documents I had sent as well as authorization to pull my credit 🤔. I forwarded the original documents I sent and again waited patiently. After about a month of not hearing anything I emailed the second loan officer asking for a status update. She told me, my loan had been transferred to yet another loan officer. The third loan officer stated that my loan had received final approval and I could call to schedule closing. I was so happy. I proceeded to call to schedule at which point I was told my final disclosures needed to be sent to me before I could close. I contacted my loan officer asking if he could request/send those documents to me. I called, emailed and waited. I heard nothing back. At this point the scheduling department is calling me multiple times asking me to schedule closing and then mid way through the conversation realize I still haven’t received my final disclosure (like is said TERRIBLE internal communication). I go on facebook...Facebook guys (no one answers the phone at loan customer service) to contact customer service and it is only then that I hear from my loan officer. About 2 weeks later I get my final disclosure, sign it and it is time to schedule closing. I proceed to call to schedule closing...something is missing. My July payoff statement wasn’t requested. “Don’t worry ma’am, this will take 24 hours, 48 hours tops”. That was 7 days ago. I called this morning to get a status update and find out the payoff request was actually never put in and now my “loan approval” will need an extension. I don’t anticipate closing for the next 30 days as we are about to be in August and the cycle will begin again. Save yourself the headache and go with another company which can offer even lower rates without the added stress. You might ask why I don’t leave and refinance with another bank but we are almost at the 90 day mark and I am too invested at this point. I figured I would share my experience so others won’t have to go through this as well.
