        We started using Home Instead (in Union City) for my mom about 4 months ago and it was a great decision. My mom has aphasia and does not speak well. All of her caregivers have been kind and compassionate, and treat her with respect. They are very patient and make a real effort to understand what my mom is trying to say. Before we started using Home Instead, we were worried that caregivers would take advantage of my moms difficulty communicating. That is no longer a concern. All the caregivers have been very honest and trustworthy. Here is one example the day after Christmas, a caregiver texted me to let me know that my mom handed her $40 (I assume as a Christmas gift). The caregiver did not take the money and told my mom to never give money to caregivers. Plus the office staff responds quickly any time I have a question or a request. I worry less and sleep better knowing that the wonderful caregivers from Home Instead are there to help out.
