HKB Wing Chun Orange County Martial Arts

I discovered this studio by chance and have been attending classes for over a year and a half. All of the instructors are friendly and you can tell they want you to succeed and become great. Each has a different teaching style so you can find one that fits your own learning style. This style of kung fu isn't for everyone but if you are interested in developing internal power and learning a remarkable range of techniques and deeper insight into your own potential this is the place. I've enjoyed the other wing chun styles, jeet kune do, tang so so, and kali, but this is the first that focuses more on combat efficiency and internal power.

I've been doing HKB Black Flag Wing Chun for about 3 weeks now. Ever since my first lesson I've been hooked. Sifu Lin teaches you about using your body in it's most efficient way. You don't learn brute force here, you learn true strength that, once mastered, will be with you forever. It's a great art to learn. It has really opened my eyes on how self-defense is taught. If you are curious about it just try it out, that's what I did. Best decision ever.

Training here has totally changed my life for the better. Having stumbled upon the school's Ad on Craigslist, I figured I might as well try it as I had nothing to lose. I had done Boxing and was then enrolled in Muay Thai, so I was NOT looking into any other Martial Art classes. After day one I knew this was something that I'd be doing for the rest of my life. After my 9 to 5 job, my whole world revolves around my HKB class. Mr. Lin's humbleness, practical style of teaching and sense of humor really draw you in and make you feel welcome. There is no question that goes unanswered, and Mr. Lin really goes the extra mile to assure that. No matter your skill level, you will always feel welcome, as we are all a family here at the Tustin HKB headquarters, something that I cant say about the previous schools I have attended. Beyond just Martial Arts, all aspects of life have changed for the better, as mentally I am the strongest I have ever been. No matter what problems or obstacles I may face in everyday life, there is always a solution, a way out, an opening- JUST LIKE IN WING CHUN KUNG FU.. Proud to be part of the first generation of CA HKB students, and welcome anyone to try it, you will not regret it !!!!

The HKB system is Magical. Sifu Lin demonstrates how to defend yourself with maximum power and minimal effort, and in a way that is easy to grasp and progress with. Classes are fun and great exercise, and I am always learning something about kung fu that applies to other areas of life as well.
