HelioPower

I bought a home with HelioPower installed solar as well as pool solar. 6 months later the pool solar sprung a leak - They looked at it and claimed it was damage due to freezing and not covered - I have no water in the system from October to May so not possible (I drain it even thought I shouldn't have too - It should drain automatically when shut off). I sent the entire piece that split to the manufacturer (FAFCO) and they stated it was a defective seam and should be warranted and HelioPower would still not respond and fix it so I repaired it myself. Upon repairing that and looking over the solar heat system and learning how they work I them also found that they never installed a vacuum release valve in the system. I was draining it manually for winter in any case but when pointed out I needed one installed (per code) they never answered my many emails (6). So I had to buy the valve, adapter and hose clamps and put it all on myself. Steer clear of HelioPower - They are incompetent and unresponsive.

RUN THE OTHER WAY! Save yourself lots of grief! Little to no communication. Did not finish the job and refuses to talk! Rank armatures all the way. Does not get to know their customers. Doesn't understand business ethics. They misunderstand simple communication and are confused most of the time. These people should not be in business.

Be extremely careful with this company. We did sub contracting for Heliopower and successfully completed 4 jobs in the bay area. They have not paid us anything which will leave the burden on the homeowner with property liens. The last thing you want is a company that subs out the work without paying the sub contractors!

HelioPower is an awesome company.They have always been responsive if we had a question and our system works flawlessly.
