Dr Tanouye is great, a lot of these negative reviews are for other doctors. he was very kind, patient, and very attentive. i came in for my yearly checkup and i've never had another doctor that is sweet as he is.

Dr Tanouye was exceptional. He was very gentle and had a wonderful demeanor. I felt very comfortable with him and will continue to have my yearly checkups with him.

Absolute worst doctor I have ever encountered. He literally has asked me what I think I should do, did not explain anything, was silent when I asked questions as if he was making everything up. Treated me with disrespect and no compassion, when called me back with test results he only used medical terminology, when I asked him to explain he had told me to google it. Truly appalled and it is a joke that he is a doctor.

If I could give this no stars I would. I have been trying to get a copy of my medical records for months and have gotten no response at all. I've left several messages and sent faxes and nobody has the decency to respond at all.

Since switching to the Cedar Sinai system, I have seen a huge drop in the service. As a patient who has seen Dr. Tanouye for nearly 6 years, I can't believe the treatment as of late. It is impossible to get a call returned. After taking a test nearly two weeks ago, having to beg the nurses to give me results because I had received no call from the dr, then being told my results were "normal" only to press and find out they were not, I have still not received a call from the doctor. I have no thyroid and my hormones are regulated by medication. I am affected greatly by changes in the levels in my body. Finally, I called my pharmacy and raised the dose myself. Typically, I wouldn't write a negative review but I've been terribly disappointed by some things I'm seeing in the medical industry with regards to patient care. My husband is very ill and I have taken on the role of advocate for him. I feel it's my responsibility to make others aware of when they may not receive the care they deserve. Sadly, I would say you might do better to choose a different healthcare center than Tarzana Endocrine.
