Its hard to decide where to start with this place- the management changed hands to Sack Management shortly before we began renting here. They have violated Sunnyvale municipal laws repeatedly by not even bothering to file with the city before conducting widescale extremely loud renovations including putting in whole new kitchens until well after 9:30pm- and completely bizarre new facilities- such as a weirdly astroturfed exercise yard mysteriously placed between two sets of dumpsters in the most claustrophic back alley you can imagine. No-one here asked for any of this, its mostly just small families around here at the moment. They never provide any notice before any of this, including attempting to forcibly change the locks on everyone mid-lease to some keyless system that requires an app on your cell phone. Theres a 90 year old lady who lives here and doesnt even *want* a cell phone. Theyre pushing ahead regardless of anyones actual wishes. Not even waiting until the lease is up. They say theyre letting anyone who doesnt want the new locks break their lease early without any fees- but this is also illegal, as theyre trying to escape the money theyd actually owe you in the event they break the conditions of your lease. Im honestly not sure Ive ever lived somewhere where the landlords were this aggressively scofflaw. It wasnt until this place Id ever felt the need to call the police- let alone on my own landlord.
