Café Cruz

What a delightful restaurant. Cafe Cruz has a tasty menu with generous portions. The calamari is fried to perfection tender, well seasoned strips and crunchy tentacles. The spicy broth with mussels and prawns was a stand-out dish. The co-star is the crusty toast with melted blue cheese. Their drink menu is a delicious stroll of creativity-the pomegranate margarita settles in real well.

My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly and welcomed us in. We sat on the back patio and it was lovely, I highly recommend sitting there. There are heaters if it gets chilly. The ambiance was great. I got the polenta bolognese and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the skirt steak fettuccine. The steak portion could have been a little bigger for the price and the Alfredo sauce it more parmesan but over was good. We ordered Mocktails but they have an extensive drink menu! And lastly they served a scoop of birthday ice cream which was a very sweet touch. Well definitely be back. Curious if they ever have live music on the back patio as that would be a wonderful touch.

If ever there was a neighborhood bar and bistro that exuded santa cruz vibes its soquels cafe cruz! The bartender mixed exotic drinks that satisfied our discriminating palate. Halibut fresher than fresh. El dente veggies,juicy pork chops...yum, yum, double chocolate polar bear dessert!!! Wish we lived next door!
