Wish we could say RIch never disappointed us. We didn't have the "reviews" to leave feedback when this happened. In our opinion, Rich hadn't disappointed, until our daughter left him a $300.00 deposit for her wedding photos. He was doing a shoot for us when we mentioned it to him, and that she'd like to have him do the wedding shoot. He gave us a heads up about a price increase, that in a couple of months his rates would be going up, so if she wanted that price she should get the deposit in ASAP. So she did. They went another route in another locale and didn't use Rich. It was a while later when we all remembered she had left him the deposit and he never returned it. We spoke to him more than once about the refund. He put us off. When we spoke to him the first or second time about the refund, he seemed to balk on it, acted hesitant about it. It seemed he was stalling a bit when he came up with the "reason" that he'd have to check and see if we paid for all of our proofs yet. This sounded like an excuse. I wondered if he was maybe having financial trouble and couldn't come up with it? This was insulting, as if we were some sort of deadbeats who had never paid our bill. It was a bit off the wall. We did buy the proofs and paid for them, all of them, long before that (besides, he wouldn't have let them out of his shop if we hadn't paid for them). He said he'd get back to us about it, but his tone didn't sound very helpful or like he was much interested in doing it. We never heard from him again. Some time later we saw him at a wedding of a friend whom he did the shoot for. Had we known she was going to use him, we would have let her know the story. However, it was not the time or place to approach him. We could have used that opportunity to do it publically, but it was her special day and we didn't want to embarass her. Don't know if anyone else has had this issue with him. So, we don't think much of Rich anymore. We'd always had a good rapport with him and a fun time doing the pictures. We thought he was a good guy. Frankly, it was very surprising to get this reaction and response from him in the end. Will never recommend him to anyone. Good photos, he'd done a few shoots for us, but there are others in the area who do a really nice job, as well, and you might not have to worry about your refunds or fight to get them back. Lynn Jerome was always perfect. She did a wonderful job and we don't have disappointing memories when we look at those photos. $300.00 would be very nice to have gotten back for them. It's owed, would still be nice to see it come through.
