just have to say I had probably the most sinfully delicious and decadent monte cristo sandwich here. if you love fried battered cheesy goodness, GET IT. oh and with the raspberry jam? UNREAL. the sweet potato fries were also really crispy and cooked perfectly, and the charcuterie board surprised my friends and I as we shared a little "ratatouille bite" moment together. service was fast, my only qualm is I wish it had more of a vintage, old timey feel inside! it looks like it's been recently updated inside, I wish it would stay true to the stained glass windows and antiquey character of its outside. but that's just me being sentimental.

While in Solvang, I made a decision to get a little authentic. A bit of Denmark had the normal exterior of Solvang. The interior was clean and welcoming. For an appetizer I had the herring which was in a curry, onion and caper and tomato sauce. It was interesting but very pleasing and mild. I would recommend this dish I believe I have included a photo of the appetizer it comes in three bowls. For the main course I had an open face roast beef sandwich. With horse radish and potato salad. I was most impressed by the roast beef and the horseradish it was mild enough but really brought out the flavors. All in all a very good experience. Parking: It is a tourist town you know the deal not bad parking but you just have to plan a bit. Get your walking shoes on and have at it

The food was very tasty and presentation very appetizing. The host was very attentive and knowledgeable in his Danish cuisine and our meals including desserts were delicious. The decor and ambience were just as inviting. Were so happy we went!

delicious traditional open faced gravlax sandwich on pumpernickel and a second sandwich of sliced meatballs. Both came with lightly pickled thinly sliced red cabbage, a small serving of excellent potato salad, and other garnishes. AND they have a sizable semi-outdoors, well heated patio. Parking: parked on next block and walked through a side street straight to the restaurant. Sunday evening in March. Likely more crowded im summer.
