        A great steakhouse. That is what it is and if you are going for the so-called modern place is not that. Great food the best service. Well prepared steak, seasoned lightly, and cooked perfectly. The sides were a perfect size. The cobber was fantastic.

        Love the food, staff is great! Oh, Dirty Martini is awesome, My favorite way to order it is double martini with goose and dirty on the side!

        It was our first time at the restaurant and our waitress came quickly and asked us what we wanted to drink but we hadnt reviewed the menu yet so we said to give us a minute. Well, the menu doesnt have ANY drinks listed alcoholic or non/ alcoholic. She came back and asked again what we wanted to drink? I asked her what they had and she said we have a full bar and started naming soft drinks. It wasnt until I asked about a wine list that she asked red or white? We said red and she proceeded to name 10, or so, options. We chose one and I suspect she thought we were just being rude but I think she quickly realized wed never been there before. I think the restaurant might ask their patrons first if theyve been there before to eliminate some of the confusion we felt. After that everything came into place and we throughly enjoyed our meal. Know that we know what we know, well definitely be back.

      Hello Randy,Thank you so much the kind words you left in your review. I will be posting this for all our employees to see. I was 15 years old when my parents opened their first Sutter's Mill in Sylmar tat he corner of Foothill and Sayre. MY parent told me at that time to treat your patrons as guests in our home. That is still something our employees try hard to accomplish. Thank You,Joe

      Thank you for your kind words Mr. John. My mother and Dad who stated Sutter’s Mill in 1958. They always told me to treat your patrons as if they are guests in your home.       Hello Donna, First I want to thank you for coming in. My parents told me when they opened their first Sutter’s Mill In Sylmar, treat your patrons as if they are guests in your home. I appreciate the constructive criticism and letting us know how we can do better. I will share this with our staff as they will take it to heart and hopefully ask if they have been here before, so the server can let them know what choices are available.
