Long waiting time to see a doctor. Receptionist not very helpful. Doctor Drummond is missed.

Just saw Dr Drummond with my husband who we both here for different reasons but we both were seen at the same time. First. I saw two people in the lobby throwing a tantrum to the receptionist because they did not want to wear a face mask and they were allowed? Then when we were called in the back, we also saw some people not wearing face masks. This is a doctors office, it should be mandatory. Second. Dr Drummond touched my foot then proceeded to touch my husbands eyes without washing his hands. Gross, he proceeded to the next person after us and I asked the blonde nurse in front of our room if that is what he usually does in which she says Its ok, Dr Drummond never washes his hands! DISGUSTING. Sweet doctor but I know this facility is dirty based on all this.

We recently changed insurance and needed a dr office in network. We tried SVMG and wow what a mistake! The reception staff was rude an not very accommodating. We needed vaccinations but kept getting the run around and finally the office simply refused to provide the vaccination. I changed doctors and was able to get the vaccination with my new dr the very next day. This doctor wasted 3 weeks of our time and very frustrating back and forth calls. Looking for a good doctor? Look somewhere else!

I take a relative here. It took a long time to find this patient a doc, when they are old, well not many take this type of insurance she has, of course she can afford PPO but chooses this insurance she has (frustrating), went through a few docs, I was not impressed and because not many take the insurance she has, some docs looked tired and were ready to retire, but noticed this one was alert. First day (recorded) he said this patient cant live alone and it hit me, its called "father time", and I needed to hear that blunt info, I need raw truth. I have the attitude of give me the truth even if it ticks me off.At the beginning I asked for this patient to have certain tests, when they are at that age, the cells, metabolic changes happen, I'm curious how the body changes and how the body breaks down. I also looked at this as learning, something new to figure this patient out, and the changes I notice and to see what might pass to the next generation. Later I noticed I was ignored and noticed a control issue and not what was best for the patient, when I look in his eyes, his decisions felt personal and not what was best for the patient. I can say more what I see in his eyes, but I will stop there. I wanted answers, when the patient's face looked full and red I notice he didn't listen, and now, recently her color skin is dull and she is thinner. When I said the patient has a unusual cough he assumes acid reflex and write a prescription, he thinks quick for an answer (so that is why I picked up, sensed alert) but my attitude is think like a ear nose and throat doc and do a thorough exam or send her to a ENT. For close to 2 years, I asked 4 times for a cognitive test every time we have the appointment for that he purposely postpones it. Age (70's) every patient should at least have one MRI of the brain and a cognitive test. The last time he postponed it I didn't like what I saw in his eyes, and I knew get ready.Things were becoming sideways with this patient, one of her kids was giving her counterfeit 20 bills and I was very scared, she started to change and there was a lot of theft going on and I needed his help and I was done. She  has a problem of dumpster diving for food, she has money so this shouldn't happen, its like a addiction, her eyes start to race when she does these unusual things like that, she doesn't sleep through the night. I was at the break point of screaming for help and he looked at me as the problem.I'm not proud of talking about this patient, but many say it shows I am caring for others, and why people listen and follow, and why I get so much attention how observant I am.So he finally gives the approval for her to see a Neurologist when I finally put my foot down (he didn't like my letter). Dr Shaw writes a letter all is fine before we see the results of the MRI and we haven't seen the Neuro who ordered it.To make this short when I saw Dr. Shaw I said they notice a AVM something is going on and more was going to be done, another MRI with and without contrast, I notice his body language, his posture changed, eye contact was different and I thought to myself I'm going to go back and see again that last letter Shaw wrote, Shaw said all was normal, he  needed to prove all was fine when it was not, he needed to prove I was wrong. The Neuro said she had a small stroke, it was not a recent stroke, what Shaw wrote was incorrect. There is one person, I forgot her name who works upfront, I believe she is latin, she is really nice, always returned my calls, she is one of the small few that's been there for a long time, it looks like a turn around of new faces there. So this last appointment for this patient (recorded), my concerns were ignored, my letter was ignored, I gave a copy to the receptionist and she gave it right back, so the receptionist can make medical decisions now too? My concerns of her health didn't matter to this office.I noticed the letter I faxed in Feb was also ignored. And their website says, the section that says our values,  "they reflect the face of God" ? No it does not!Latest review, Her last appointment when I was ignored about my concerns, it says "Dementia associated with other underlying diseases without behavioral disturbance"..... Are you serious? She forgot she had an appointment that day and she recently put cookie butter under the orange tree assuming the tree can absorb it. The many letters I written and have said verbally? She was in the room alone with Dr. Shaw, this appointment he didn't want me in the room. What I notice about him is he feels he's an expert with rheumatology and the heart. My review is not about the other 3 doctors.
