Went for the first time to take out some pasta with salmon and the chocolate cake. Got sick! The taste of that pasta dish was funny, as if the few little pieces of salmon were from yesterday. I had that dish before in other Italian places, and that dish was not it! Less than two hours later, my stomach started to give me the dreadful sound of music. As I write this review, I am still dealing with this gastric thing. Don't eat there, nothing Italian except for the menu... Disappointment is an understatement!

It was really disappointing experience, my husband and I waited for pasta over an hour on Tuesday night! We asked waiter for bread 3 times and each time waiter would give us different story "bread is baking " or "we run out of bread" or just confused look, finally after 45 minutes we got few pieces of bread. Pastas were good, but waiting and over all service was horrible together for pasta and bread we've waited hour and 45 minutes. Not worth it.

We love this place. Been there numerous times since they opened and it's always been excellent food and good service. They pastas have been perfect. I'm interested now that they can offer wine to look at their wine list, which will enhance the whole experience. Ambiente is more than a fancy location, so I always look forward to go back.

I'm sorry to say this place missed the mark. I know I am a little more critical coming from NY and being italian. I haven't found anything that resembles italian or NY pizza in the valley or other dishes. Cafe Italia is one of the pizza places that really lacked flavor, cheese on top of a tortilla, salad no flavor or ingredients that would let you say hey now this is really good. We'll it's not fresh maybe, pricey for what it was... yes, but really good kicked up italian or any other kind of food, just didn't fly. Service was atiquate ? The question always is would I go back the answer is NO !
