Sensei Juan Fogal is a great teacher & man. He has helped my two kids learn valuable life lessons, learn martial arts, and have a whole lot of fun too! Very trustworthy. responsible and dedicated life long martial artist. My kids both started around 5 years old in his Dojo. It has been great for their focus, self control , and balance/coordination. I love the fact there is a lot of thought put into every lesson and many mental challenges along with the physical. They often have deals on 2 week introductory courses so you can check it out. He also has adult classes which I hope to begin taking soon , as I have come to really enjoy just watching my kids. A+ rating in my book as a martial arts school.

Family Martial Arts has been an incredibly grounding and important part of our familys life. It is clear from the moment you meet Sensei Juan and his wife Timi that this work is their life. They are completely dedicated to making the most impactful and meaningful experience for the people who attend their classes, session, and seminars. Our family has had the pleasure of experiencing both the adult and children classes offered by Family Martial Arts spanning several years. One of the most touching and important pieces is the love that Sensei Juan clearly has for doing what he does. He lights up when demonstrating, teaching, and connecting with the people in the room. Not only that, watching him play and joke with the children keeps it fun and also helps the parents also crack a smile. However there are real lessons learned at Family Martial Arts in addition to fun the teachings that are taught from an early age about self-control, integrity, responsibility are ingrained into the programs. Our child learned not only the physical aspects of martial arts but the mental focus and lessons as well. Learning how to be a responsible citizen performing good deeds has been reinforced by her time at the dojo. Our family will be moving away from the area soon, and it is a great loss that we will not have Juan, Timi, and Family Martial Arts in our daily routine. The dojo and the people who fill it create an atmosphere of positivity, accountability, fun, and dedication. Their commitment and enthusiasm for the arts they teach, and the way they teach them, is palpable. I highly, HIGHLY, recommend attending and seeing for yourself. Thank you Juan and Timi for such amazing work, friendship, and connection!

My son and I started training with Juan Fugal. We both enjoy the training very much. It is amazing to see him interact with the kids training them martial arts and at the same time social skills and behavior. He is very dedicated to his job. I also enjoy the adult training a lot. Training with him means learning fast!

Excellent self defense training in a safe environment. Classes have real life usefulness, purposeful, and easy to learn!
