So very disappointing. Don't trust them to represent your interests, once they sell you the policy they wash their hands of you!
Somehow due to some website errors, we ended up making three payments instead of one for our home insurance. We thought it was taken care of, but unbeknownst to us, the farmers insurance lost our payment in their own system, and while they claim they informed us of lack of payment, the first we heard of the issue was when we got a cancellation from George Petersen and a bill for the time we weren't covered.
It's been 7 months since this all went wrong, and after multiple complaints to the better Business bureau, we just got a check back from farmers insurance.
They claim they just are the representative but when we try to get them to help us with farmers they did nothing and blamed us for lack of payment. In fact, we had paid, the company that owns farmers, Liberty, had to get involved to help their own incompetent staff find our money.
And why does this little Santa Rosa spot get one star? Because they were no help at all, what's the point of having an agent in town if they do nothing on your behalf? Just seems like they get paid to do nothing. And that's just how they like it.

OK, per the request OF the agency to remove or modify this Yelp review, I am on here to write an update! And give them 2 stars, up from 1, due to the request. I can say this Agency DOES pay much more attention to Yelp reviews than the positive status of their customers! We find "post facto" via BILL claiming we had to PAY George and his firm IN PERSON, for a CANCELED Safeco policy as of last Friday, with NO NOTICE of an issue.Appears We lost home insurance coverage via the Safeco policy we bought FROM THIS AGENCY, with NO WARNING that we have any record of, due to a misapplied credit card payment (Safeco mailed us BACK a check as "overpayment", then canceled us when the other credit card payment was revoked), and at NO TIME were we, the policy holders EVER informed, by either Safeco, OR our Safeco agent)Why exactly do we HAVE agents if they don't flag issues with coverage and payment? Why bother having a local agent if they DON'T HELP THEIR CLIENTS? How did it come to this!??I am old, and remember when your insurance rep, even as agents for other insurance, spent effort and time and MANAGED the relationship. Now? they just seem to pocket the money and do NOTHING for their "customers". Sure, they are "agents", and 10 years ago when we started with them, seeming to work for their customersBut when a billing issue arose with our Home Insurance policy, and it was CANCELED with zero notice, they didn't every get involved, OR let us know there was an issue, and makes us question WHY WE EVER GRACED THE DOORS OF THEIR ESTABLISHMENT!We are now via Geico, for less, and am so disappointed with both Safeco AND this salesforce OF Safeco. Dudes, we HAD the money! Really!
