It's a long and disappointing story, but I hope it will help other customers avoid the mistake of working with this company. Wasted significant amount of money here. Full story below. 1) the first service provided was a $1,187 procedure to search for leaks which, when fixed, would have solved the AC freezing issue. I was told that leaks were not able to be caught by the naked eye. 2 weeks later, when the technician told me about the results of such search, he let me know that the identified leak was "visible and obvious", admitting that the $1,187 procedure had been unnecessary. 2) a month later, when the leak was supposedly fixed (a procedure that cost additional $1,884, the technician assured me that he had tested the system and the system was perfect. Less than 2 hours after he left the house, I turned on the AC and noticed absolutely no cool air coming out of the vents - he left the system at a worse state than it was originally (previously it was working, but freezing occasionally). 3) after much insistence and after having my 2 year old son sleep through a 100F heat wave for several days, I was able to get another technician come see what could be happening. I was appalled to hear from him that the procedure had not been done properly, and that it would have to be redone. On a different date, a new technician came to my house to redo the work. I was told by this one that the system was a lost cause, and that he recommended an entirely new system be purchased and installed, claiming that my house required 2 different AC zones- however it's always had 2 different AC zones. 4) given all of the above, I decided to inspect the system myself, even though I am a complete amateur at this. I ended up finding out that my attic system had been left completely open / unsealed by the technicians, which resulted in all the produced cold air being kept in the attic. The attic was freezing cold, and I had been wasting energy since late June due to this. I ended up sealing the system myself with a $20 HVAC tape, and the system has been working fine ever since.
