Very patient, very careful, does excellent work. I needed several fillings, and he took his time with them; at the end of the day, you can't even tell there was work done! If you're looking for a dentist in Sonoma County, look to this dentist first. You'll be in good hands.

I have to say Dr. Alavi is a smooth operator. I started seeing him 5 years ago because he accepted my insurance and it was great.  Even after they stopped taking my insurance I continued to go there paying out of pocket because I believe Dr. Alavi is a perfectionist. He will not stop 'til he has it perfect. Even for a routine cleaning he would do all of the work and make sure things were done right.  He does not care if there are patients waiting. It's not about the money there, it's about integrity!I just had a filling there yesterday. I am one of those strange people that Novocaine does not have a very strong effect on. I have a high pain tolerance, so I usually just bear through it. I talked to Dr. Alavi ahead of time and he instructed me to come in 20-30 minutes earlier to settle in and allow the anesthesia to take effect. His injection technique was smooth, very patient man as others have mentioned. I still felt some discomfort during the procedure but it was definitely bearable.  I could tell that he made sure the cavity was 100% gone no matter what, pain or no pain, falling behind or not!Nobody enjoys going to the dentist but let's face it, it's necessary, especially with my dental geniology. These people deserve more respect. It's an art work! Not an easy profession people!Best filling experience I have ever had in my 43 years.Thank you Doctor/Artist
