Hellman Production

I went to the fine folks at Hellman Production for four DVD projects (two single-disc and two dual-disc, all with full-color print on disc face and 4/0 DVD case wrap) and I have been 100% satisfied every time. Great staff communication, great prices, great turnaround times, and of course great final results! Highly recommended, especially if you're in the South Bay/Beach Cities/West LA areas.

This is how business should be done! I was in need of an in-town duplication company to get a small project of 220 discs made. I emailed Hellman Production and within 2 hrs we had the project initiated, files sent over and they were working on printing up the discs. When I went to their shop to drop off the master DVD's, I was greeted by the owners. They were respectful, kind, showed me their operation, and even gave me a parking pass while we got things finalized inside. The next day, I picked up my DVD's, the quality of the print was fantastic, and everyone was so nice. I can't wait to work with this fine company again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Being a newbie to dvd duplication/replication and authoring, Hellman Production was a godsend. Jacque was extremely helpful and friendly in assisting me in selecting the packaging, suggesting jackets as well as ways to save money suggesting that we do somethings ourselves. Howard was extremely helpful on the authoring part of creating a dvd. Being a newbie to StudioPro, he went through my project pointing out errors and giving me ways to resolve the issues, some errors that I didn't even know I had, navigationally and structurally. A friend suggested Hellman to me saying, "They're really nice and helpful."   I would capitalize those words, if and when someone asks for a place to take care of all your dvd needs. I live in downtown LA and at first I thought I could find a place closer, but it was and is well worth my dealing with traffic to go to Hellman Production.

I initially contacted them because I was looking for some help with some DVD's for a film project that I had been working on, but they ended up helping me improve the overall quality of my film. Unfortunately, there was a jump cut which had gotten onto the master DVD and there were also some audio problems which hadn't been addressed by the original editor. I went a second time to meet with Howard and he fixed the edit, adjusted the sound, and corrected a CG problem on the opening credits, all in about one hour's time. I'm very grateful to him because it was my first film and I had been pretty distressed about the problems. He was even prepared to refer me to a third party editor in the event that he couldn't help me himself. He even supervised the DVD production and everything was done in a matter of minutes If you need DVD's or other basic post production services you'd do well to contact Hellman Productions.

I found this company on Yelp and gave them a try for short-run DVD duplication. I'm very satisfied with the final product, turnaround time, and customer service! Highly recommended for short-run projects!CUSTOMER SERVICE: Echoing previous reviewers, Hellman's customer service is great! Jacqui (sales) and Rebecca (graphics) were both extremely helpful and accommodating.PRODUCTION: The turnaround time was around 7 business days (it would've been less, but we had to adjust the artwork after the first proof and I think there was a minor printing error somewhere along the way). The paper used for the DVD wrap and insert is nice quality. The printing on the paper and disc isn't super crisp, but we're satisfied (I'm not sure if there's a quality difference with mass production projects).PRICE: I think it's pretty standard for a short-run project.SHIPPING: They're located in Santa Monica, so I just picked up my order. Convenient (despite having to deal with the 405) and the staff is really friendly!
