Salvador and his crew did an amazing job. I had them did a major overhaul on my front and back yard with stone work, DG, and landscape design. Took my general idea and helped build on it; the new front & back look amazing. The cost was very reasonable. He was responsive, coming out to get me a quote, give ideas, and even integrated some last minute changes I wanted as things came together. The job took FAR less time than I had expected and the crew left a clean workspace at the end of each day. I'd emphatically recommend Martinez Landscaping if you are thinking of updating or maintaining your outdoor space. I'll definitely be looking to them for future work and upkeep.

We just moved to the area & wanted to maintain the nice work that was done in the yard by the previous owner. We chose this company because of the good reviews from another site, stating they are professional, prompt, do a good job, & are thorough in their clean up. First, I called & the phone was off with a full mailbox, then I requested an estimate on their site. Salvador called me & came over to give the estimate, telling me they'd be back the next day to work on the yards. I made a point of showing him the hedges that needed to be evened out & showed him the two young Japanese maples, for which he told me they would not trim as they are too small & would be left alone until they are more established, to which I agreed. He went on telling me that they will clean out the weeds that grew in the flower bed while the house was in escrow, prune the roses, trim the lemon tree, etc... & his company is the best in the Central Coast, they are professional, & our yard would look great. They never showed up the next day, no call, no text, nothing. I contacted him & he replies saying they'd be out the next day. They came out early the next morning & within 15 mins I looked out the window to see one of my Japanese maples cut down to a short stump with one of the limbs cut off, BARK DAMAGED, & STRIPPED BARE OF ALL THE LEAVES. This young tree was healthy, 2 feet tall, previously groomed, & trimmed. Somehow though, they missed several of the small weeds about a foot away from it & all along that area. Our lilies were chopped down to stubble & they edged only some of the sprinkler heads. I went out to bring it to Salvador's attention & he began making excuses & arguing with me about it, first saying the other guy thought it was a weed. WHAT?? If the crew doesn't know an expensive ornamental Maple from a weed then he needs to be shown before working on someone's yard! Then he said it was dry & so he cut it down. After that he finally said it was an accident with a weed trimmer. Even if it was accidentally nicked, why would he then cut the whole thing down & strip off all the leaves?? After a few minutes of this one of his crew came up & told him what species of Japanese Maple it was. He turned back to me & finally quipped "Well, do you want another one?" I completely understand accidents happen. All he had to say was "Sorry we will replace it." & take responsibility instead of arguing & giving me multiple stories & an attitude. That's what we would expect from "the best in the Central Coast". And for the "clean up" he assured me of, we came outside to find they dumped all the trimmings & weeds into our bin instead of taking them away, & threw 3 cement blocks in as well. Now the city won't pick it up until my husband digs them out. Not our idea of professionalism, but more like spitefulness. Services: Weed control, Lawn mowing/maintenance

Martinez Landscaping did an excellent job with our backyard. We were so pleased with their professionalism, quick work, reasonable pricing, and awesome results. We love our yard now! We would reach out to Salvador again in a heartbeat for future projects. Highly recommend!

I searched the internet for landscaper and gardener services and found MANY options. I called three local businesses with good reviews for estimates including Martinez Landscape. After meeting with all 3 businesses, Martinez Landscape stood out as the most professional and trustworthy. Salvador with Martinez Landscaping met with me on the same day and returned with a very fair quote promptly. He also offered to start the job within days of performing the estimate. I went with this company and I’m extremely pleased with the service and work. The employees performed a major clean up on our yard front and back including tree & rose trimming/pruning. The guys were professional & courteous and actually did more than what was required. It has probably been at least 3 years since our home has had professional lawn & garden care and it looks absolutely amazing. Salvador also discussed other yard enhancement projects we are interested in doing in the future like driveway and garden curb edging projects. We will definitely have Martinez Landscape perform these when we’re ready. Lastly, we are so pleased with the work that we have decided to pay for continued yard maintenance moving forward.
