My grandfather called 911 after I had a seizure on 2/20/24, they were fast friendly and genuinely made me feel cared for, I don't normally write reviews unless it's negative however when I saw they were being bashed in the reviews I couldn't stand it. ZERO STARS!!! On December 18, 2022 I passed out at my husband's Christmas party, the EMT's grabbed me by the arms and threw me in the gurney!! My arms hurt for weeks and NOW they sent me to collections because they have an address I lived at over 20 years ago!!?????

Its a highway robbery for 2 miles $2816.00 and I used my insurance though might help my bills but the worst part its OUT of network, my insurance paid only $70 dollars! Thank you BBS! AMR didnt send me the bills and got surprised from debt collector after 10 months that I owed $2800! This is really unfair that you can't win this war charging services for too much! I hope our government can do something to regulate this kind of bad practices.

AMR transported me twice over the past 5 years- 1 for critical reasons and the other for just a ride to the hospital. The first time they didn't bill my insurance so they came after me for $2500. I kept trying to call and it was always call centers in the philistines. this took months to resolve and finally the insurance company took my side and paid the entire bill. The other time (2 years ago) I was transported to the ER but never got billed by either hospital or AMR- hospital did suck a bad job they tore up my bills after i signed AMA after sitting in ER for 15 hours with nothing done. Only was i even know they AM%R billed me was checking my CrediKarma and seeing a $677 bill from them in collections, WTF! They throw rocks at you like a little kid and hide under theri mothers skirt- waht a looser company. I was in EMS for 20 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic so I know what good and correct patient billing looks like, If you are ever critically ill or injured- take your chances by private vehicle. AMR SUCKS!

It has been a complete nightmare trying to get our bill paid with AMR. We've had to bring in the insurance company 3 times, as AMR will only accept full payment of their services, which were nearly $5000 in our case. They hide their billing number from the insurance companies, so they can't be contacted, and are aggressive about collections. They will try to deny a partial payment so they can claim your payment is late, but you should make them accept the amount recommended by your insurance company - and no more than that! The No Surprises Act of 2020 protects you from predatory billing practices for emergency services, so tell that to your insurance company and they will continue to go back to AMR until the bill is paid. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it.
