    Hello Dr.Padmini, Thanks for the kind reply thats a good gesture (adding a point for that) Thanks for clarifying about my daughter you may be right (adding a point for that) In my daughters earlier procedure the tooth cavity was treated by removing most/all of the decayed material and along with removal of puss. Its stable over 2 year to be more precise. Previous doctor also suggested the same as you did, but I was able to convince to remove the decay and fill cement when possible. I agree you followed standard protocol. (But, extraction is not the best solution, speaking from my practical experience with my daughter) I must appreciate that you didnt suggest a root-canal for that problem Because, I did even get such a suggestion earlier from a different dentist (as the only option).. Regarding anesthesia, I lost taste in my mouth over a week now slowly recovering I didnt expect such a reaction Also, loosing facial movement for 4hrs was not expected It may be a misunderstanding but should not have happened Previous Review: (very minimal editing) Got here to get basic cleaning She recommends the more complex procedure and the problem is that she says she can only do that (no other option). If you stay firm only then she would do what you came for I did that for my kid wanted to get the puss removed from her gums but she says extraction is the only option. Since it was my daughter, I stayed firm and told that extraction is a strict no only removing puss and cleaning then she did that , last year she had same problem and got puss removed and everything is well since over a year hence I knew and firmly said no Most problematic situation was when I was talked into having Anesthesia that I actually thought was usual topical anesthesia(that I usually have for deep-cleaning) by the time I knew it was completely different than what I thought, the injection was already in my mouth My whole one side face was kind of paralyzed for 4hrs(it should have been just 2hrs) Had a meeting at work and had to cancel it because of this mess. My tongue is still not recovered after over 24hrs since. Very bad experience. If you ever go here stick to your plan and ask her to just do what you want. Its all done just to bill you more.. but this was at the expense of making you sick for hours and days The ask for the Anesthesia/injection should come from patient it should be by default a topical anesthesia

We follow standard treatment protocols. Regarding your daughter, you chose to mask the symptom and leave the cause behind...that's what you were firm about. Please consult with other dentists and you will find out that they will tell you the same.
