I cant wait too get my paddle and put it to use here in the Midwest. The phone call and help navigating my options and providing with the best possible one was above and beyond! I am impressed with the company and service! I spent hours looking at a variety of paddles and will confidently say I think I have the right one.

I bought the 9'5x33x4.6 hammer for paddle surfing and I love it. It is very stable and light just as Warren said it would be. Aaron was very helpful through the process and the company was more than helpful with the selection process. I would like to buy another from them in the future for flat water long distance paddle adventures. Again, very pleased with my purchase.

NOTE: I've had to shorten my original review in order to respond to the owner's untruthful response and attacks. This outfit in Santa Barbara promised boards with everything I was looking for. Their boards weren't cheap (close to $2K), and to get a custom board I would have to drive to Santa Barbara (a round trip of between 400 and 500 miles). But I decided to do it. I arranged by email to meet owner "Wardog" on a given date to test drive a stock board of the same model, and work out a set of dims for my new custom board. On the appointed day, I got to their shop shortly after they opened. "Wardog" was not there. Not only that, he was not expected in that day. I asked if the lone employee on duty could call him. All I got were evasive answers. No call was made. He had my email address. He had my phone number. He knew that I would be driving over 200 miles each way to come up and try to order one of their boards. He knew I had to make it a quick, one-day trip due to other commitments. Did anyone phone in advance to let me know that way cool "Wardog" would not be available after all? No. Email? No. Apology or explanation once I was there? No. Anything like, "he's not in, but I can work with you on it "? Nope. After all that driving, I figured I might as well at least test drive a similar board. They charged me a rental fee for this "privilege" but I went ahead and did it. I'm glad I did, because I was totally underwhelmed. I have ridden pop-out mass production boards that felt better in the water. "Wardog" never did show, so I came back to San Diego. I might have guessed that an adult who choses an adolescent nickname for himself would be too cool for school, and too cool to actually cooperate with someone interested enough to make a 400+ mile round trip. The incredible arrogance and passive-aggressive attitude revealed in "Wardog's" no-show is one for the books. Maybe he figured that he had me on the hook and his shop assistant would just reel me in, take my two grand, and he'd have a sale without bothering to show up. Maybe he just likes jerking people around. Anyhow, the board I test-drove was so mediocre that I am happy to stay away from his products. UPDATE My description of events is accurate and truthful. The owner's response is not. It's a weird mix of spin, self-promotion and wild false allegations. It's fake news. What did not happen: No, I did not fall off nor did I say I fell off. You made that up. No, you were not "available" - you were not there and your employee refused to call you on the phone. No, I was not abusive. Think about it: a guy comes into the shop, supposedly a total d*ckhead (as you put it) spouting abuse. The normal response would be to tell him to chill, or to ask him to leave. Instead, the employee doesn't do either. His story is that he's going to call the police, then decides to rent me a board instead. Are you serious? What did happen: Yes, we had arranged via email that I would meet with you to discuss and spec and order a new custom board. Not a board off the rack. You knew I was coming up, and when. You knew I expected to be able to deal with you personally. You let me make the trip for nothing. Yes, I expressed polite thanks in my email – that's what normal people do. This ruins your made-up characterization of me as a nasty, abusive person. Yes, I did drive nearly 500 miles round trip to meet with you, and you knew it. You didn't show up, didn't call or email to let me know before I wasted the day driving nearly 500 miles, and the employee wouldn't call you or offer to help me himself. Yes, it took several tries to get the employee to agree to destroy the personal information and credit card information that he had photocopied. (He finally told me he had done it; of course I have no idea if he did or not.) Face it, Dog, you stiffed me, and now you're upset that I've called you on it. The truth hurts, but did you really think anyone in my situation would just turn around and drive home and forget about it? Not likely.
