Using Kiel as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding in Santa Barbara. From the first phone call to our actual wedding day, he was professional and easy to work with. He listened to our direction but also had amazing suggestions. We received our pictures yesterday and they are incredible and better than we could have ever imagined. We would recommend Kiel to anyone looking for an experienced, professional photographer who knows the Santa Barbara area very well!

It was a pleasure working with Kiel for our elopement ceremony in Santa Barbara! We were so glad to find out that Kiel was free for our desired date and booked Kiel just a few weeks before the ceremony. He knew the area well and had great suggestions for poses and backgrounds, from classics to some extra flair that made for very memorable shots. We received the preview very quickly after (they were breathtaking) and the full retouched gallery followed shortly after. We were in awe at how beautiful the shots turned out! Thank you Kiel, it was a treat working with you!! Highly recommended!

We couldn't even begin to imagine using another photographer. Kiel was right fit for us from the very beginning. We met with him and a few other photographers early in our process and were impressed that he's both super responsive and a clear communicator. But what we loved the most was his energy - he's calm (which helps put everyone at ease), disarmingly funny (which gets the smiles), and super flexible (we trusted him w/ almost all direction but he was always good with asking for our ideas and our input first). So he gets all the points for being easy to work with, but it's the pictures that matter - and they've been stunning. Our engagement photos which were like a practice round blew us away, but for the wedding Kiel and his assistant paired to capture the most beautiful moments and we couldn't be happier with the portfolio. We're lucky to have such a pro capture our biggest day.

As the public relations consultant for Dream Foundation - the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults - I have had the joy and privilege of working with Kiel Rucker and his incredibly talented team of Head & Heart Photographers for several years now. They recently became the organizations official West Coast Event Photographers and for good reason, I am always delighted by their exquisite work. Not only are they are an absolute joy to work with, they always capture exactly what I need, always go above and beyond, and are quick to create a gallery for our team to utilize in media, social media and share with our generous and lovely guests. I am always asking for this and that and I truly don't remember ever hearing the word no. I am eager for the day when I have reason to ask Kiel and his team to capture a family portrait or memory. Wow! It is challenging to explain the incredible experience I had with Kiel Rucker into words. I am the development officer for Domestic Violence Solutions for Santa Barbara County, and was in need of a photographer. I have known Kiel for a few years now, we both workout at Mad Fitness, and so I was excited to hire him for our donor event. I knew Kiel was a great photographer because I have seen his amazing work, I did not however know how professional and attentive he was. He showed up early and was already taking pictures of the venue before I even said hi. He was always in the middle of the action, taking candid and action shots. He was so fun to work with, he made all the guests smile and laugh and comfortable to pose for pictures. Majority of my guests made comments about how wonderful he was throughout the event. His turn around was great, and he was able to give us our pictures so fast! They were beyond, he really captured the essence of my event and every single photo was flawless! I am so excited to be able to work with Kiel again. If you are looking to have an unforgettable experience don’t hesitate and get Kiel Rucker ASAP!
