Be aware: The Seroma-Cath product is shown with the JP suction bulb in all the pictures but it does NOT come with the bulb. They must be ordered separately. The drain catheters are not much more than an IV catheter with a tubing, and they are $40 each. When my box of 5 arrived, I opened the package to discover no bulbs. The customer service rep I spoke to told me I could not return the catheters(in their sterile individual packages) because the outer box (which is not sterile) was opened. She stated that "99% of the time" she mentions that the bulbs don't come with the catheters. But I had spoken to someone else when I had inquired, and was not told they were extra—$100 extra for 5 bulbs. There was no apology whatsoever. Just " we always tell customers about the bulbs being sold separately" and "you should have seen it on the order form." (And, yes, there is a separate line on the form for bulbs, which I incorrectly assumed was for ordering EXTRA bulbs beyond what I assumed came with each cath.)
I have not used the SeromaCath yet, since I now have to order bulbs. I do not know how well they work. I am just very dissatisfied with the fact that I spent over $200 for 5 IV's and now have to pay another $100.
