The restaurant at 882 Brookhurst Street is closed and the space has been taken over by the Desert Moon restaurant. Confirmed closed by the smoke shop next door.

I have been a regular since it was at the Orange locations (I miss it there) and I have to say that this place is AMAZING. Certainly the best Mediterranean food I have had. Too bad I am not closer or else I would be here at least once a week! For starters the Baba Ghanouj is simply the best. I have tasted other Baba Ghanouj and it just doesn't compare. The Laban w/cucumber is refreshing. Also the Arais is delicious too. However what keeps me coming back again and again is the garlic chicken plate. This is, in my opinion, the best thing on the menu! The chicken is juicy with tons of garlic and lemon flavor and the homemade rice pilaf with their house made chili is dynamite. The staff is also very nice and polite. The owner is extremely polite and always remembers faces.

I am a big fan of this place. Very good shwarma (both the chicken and beef shwarma are done well). I usually get mine in sandwich form, which makes a nice compact meal to go. I don't know why anyone would eat at McDonalds or someplace like that when you could come here and get real food, just as fast, for roughly the same price. It is a counter service place, but every single person who works here serves you with a smile. Very friendly and warm. The only thing preventing me from giving Papa Hasan's that elusive fifth star is that the last couple of times I have been here the meat has been oversalted, by kind of a lot. I am sure both those visits were anomalous, and I'll amend this upwards if that proves to be the case over time.
