        Permanently closed a few years back. Much of that land already has new roads, housing, parks and more, built upon it.

        Left the Marines after 4 years in 1970. Spent my last 4 months here at El Toro, and most of Southern California at that time, was a really great place to be. Countless good times with a lot of fun people. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem all that long ago.
