2020 Apr One of my favorites places. The store is closed due to various reasons. Good luck and hope you can back someday! Most authentic northern style Chinese food at San Mateo downtown. I have been going here almost every week. Grown up in a Chinese city where noodle making/eating is paramount, I can say its the best taste in all noodle Places I went in SV. Milk tea sweetness is just about right. They are family restaurant and one thing to notice is that dont use Ubereat cuz you will miss all the authentic parts. Note that Im *not* a person who enjoys spicy food, here judging a restaurant called Spicy Heaven mostly on its few non-spicy dishes. But Ive passed this establishment many times and finally decided to try out their dim sum selection, pictured so temptingly on their storefront. Its ok, although the dumplings (and xlb) had a spice (not hot-spicy) that I couldnt identify but wasnt expecting in a dumpling. The broccoli chicken was good. DH who *does* enjoy spicy food was neither impressed nor particularly disappointed in his spicy beef. Orders over $50 receive a free dish from the dim sum selection.
