    I had the best experience with South County plumbing 8/8. After no hot water and PG&E being unable to relight my pilot light, Joey came out and saved the day!! He was polite, hard-working, and took the extra time to make sure all my questions were answered.... However it's now 20 days later I have no hot water again, which I knew was a possibility. That being said I have tried to call South County plumbing for over 24 hours as has Fidelity home warranty and they are completely unresponsive. Based on The company is complete lack of customer service and returning calls let alone keeping employed through a home warranty company I can no longer recommend them to anyone!

    So I filed a claim with my Home Warranty provider, so I didn't have a choice in plumber. I was told that they would come between 8-10am, well 10 rolls around and guess what no one has shown up. I call them, and ask what was going on, they respond with "Oh I meant to call you, we had a late start. Plumber just left 5 minutes ago" So much for that 8-10 am window. Then I am told that the faucet has malfunctioned and it needs replacing. At no point in time did he spend more than a couple of seconds at looking at the faucet or mention that there was a part missing. He filed with the home warranty that the faucet was missing parts, so the claim has been denied. Save yourself some time and do not use this company

    I'm a realtor in Scotts Valley and bought a Fidelity Home Warranty for my client. The client had a hot water heater that was leaking and called Fidelity who sent South County Plumbing to evaluate it. Why a company that is an hour away, no idea, but whatever. They came out and stated the water heater needed to be replaced and he would give this info to the claims department, which he did. However, what he also did was give a list of crazy extra charges that my client would need to also pay to the tune of about $950 extra, not covered by the Fidelity. I'll give you an example so you know I'm not exagerating, he wanted to charge $350 for the pan, the pan my client bought at Home Depot for $25. Ridiculous! But the worst thing was the plumbing company did not call my client back at all to schedule or discuss the job, it's been 12 days. My 75 year old client has been without hot water in January for 12 days! Grrrr....I called Fidelity and finally got to the "specialist" department and was told the  two choices we had were take the $2000 payout or agree to the crazy extra charges. I said could you please just have the plumber call the client back so we can tell him we don't need most of the extra stuff and to just replace it with the exact same thing. The specialist called the company and got a hold of Anna who said she apologizes for not getting back to the client and they would call him right away. It's been 2 days and no call!  My client found a local plumber who is doing the job and he is taking the payout. But Fidelity needs to remove this company from the Santa Cruz County Area as I have a feeling he just doesn't want to drive this far.
