Metro 77 & 85 Apartments Rentals

Don't bother cleaning/fixing up the apartment before leaving. They charged us ~$300 for repainting and ~$500 for cleaning despite leaving the unit in nearly the same condition we received it. I've never had this problem before with any other properties I've lived at. Also, the key they gave my roommate to access communal areas (laundry, gym, corridors, etc) didn't work well, but they said they would charge $5 for a new one. Shouldn't they provide a new one for free? Laundry machines were a crapshoot. Sometimes the washing machines didn't work or leaked everywhere. Sometimes my clothes would come out of the drying machines still very damp. Finally, my next door neighbor's and our kitchen sink flooded twice. Something to do with our piping being connected to the units above us. It was really inconvenient and gross and I had to haul buckets of dirty sink water from the kitchen to the toilet before maintenance could come fix it so that our unit wouldn't flood. There are so many other better places to live. I do not recommend living here. The only redeeming factors about this place is that it's close to Grocery Outlet, the units look nice, and it feels safe being a gated complex.

Lowered to 1 star because I just found out this property will charge you up to $600 to paint your unit once you move out. This painting provision is not in the lease agreement and they also do not inform you of this charge upon your move out. Also, my unit was cleaner upon move out than it was when I moved in and I was still charged a cleaning fee. I originally gave this complex 2 stars because of failure to communicate in a timely manner, the units are not sound proofed (heard my upstairs neighbor using his restroom aka no privacy), packages get lost or stuck in their lockers and then returned w/o notice. There are several better options in San Leandro.

I am newly moved in to Metro 77 & 85 but I love it here Already and am very happy with the choice I made! The apartment is very spacious, has modern appliances- what I am most excited about is having my very own balcony right outside of my apartment!! I am totally impressed with the managers here- Krystle formerly and Armando currently. Both are professional, kind and attentive (I ask a lot of questions-Smile). I love how quiet and peaceful it is here especially after living in a noisy part of East Oakland for a year!

I was looking for an apartment. With COVID and all, videoconferencing was the way to go. This property sent a link for the your THE DAY OF the tour. Downloaded on mobile. It didn't work. Downloaded on computer. Did not work. I emailed and contacted the person scheduling. She said she doesn't have instructions on troubleshooting. Contacted the tour person. She told me, I was 10 minutes late and to reschedule. The person had the nerve. She wasn't even apologetic for their app nor the attitude. I never write bad reviews but this well deserves a bad one. If this is how they deal with prospects, I wonder how you fare being a tenant. She disgusts me at this time that we are all in this together. look at other properties with 4 to 5 stars... They must be doing something right. Look at the reviews of this place, same dilemma. If there's smoke ...
