Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center Emergency Room

The ER is an absolute joke. They made me wait with my 22 month old who hurt her arm and couldnt move it, for 1.5 hrs. After that some nurse called us in and we told her that our daughter was holding her wrist and crying and we think she got hurt somewhere there. She didnt even look at her arm and ordered for an X-ray. Then more waiting, and when we finally went in for the X-ray the nurse told us the doctor (remember, we never saw a doctor) ordered for an elbow X-ray and they cant check her wrist. We need to go back to the doctor with this X-ray report and then if the doctor orders for a wrist X-ray, they will do that at that point. This whole thing is happening after almost waiting for 2 hrs for an X-ray. My little one is in pain, she is hungry, sleepy, cranky and these so called care givers have no freaking idea what they need to do to check her arm.

Always have to wait an eon. Entire ecosystems are created and wiped out while you wait forever, in tears, after telling triage you have level 10 pain and a surgery in 2 weeks. While you watch other patients be called in like theyre to be seen about a home loan. I need a PPO again.

Very kind and considerate staff from the moment I walked in. They deal with so much, I hope others remember to be patient and kind to them as well, they are on the front lines. A bit of a wait, but that is to be expected with the influx of patients from Covid. I appreciate their sacrifices and hard work and the treatment I received

Called exactly at 12:51 AM, while my father is in the emergency room, alone without his phone to communicate with me or my family. The front lady was so rude to me, told me I cannot be calling when all I want is to be told my dad is being taken care of. I could not even get a name for her since she wanted to cut me off so quickly. Its people like this who SHOULDNT be working in health care.
