Double Golden Chinese Restaurant

Stumbled upon this place the first night we moved to San Jose. It is definitely our favorite Chinese establishment living in the Evergreen Area. Our standard order is the Sweet and Sour Pork, which is lovely, Walnut Shrimp and House Chow Mein. We usually order takeout, however a few times we have eaten dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed the quiet (read empty) restaurant to ourselves.

My family loves this place, with our favorites being the Singapore Noodles, Chicken with Garlic Sauce, Szechuan Beef , and General Tso's Chicken - which you must ask for, since it's not on the menu. My daughter goes in for their fried rice, but I'm just happy that their steamed rice is actually sticky. The only dish I had that I didn't like was their Chicken Teriyaki. I found it to be far too bland. The service in the evenings is always friendly and fast before the later dinner crowd comes in. We always leave happy, so we always go there happy! Do yourself and your friends a favor and go here at least a few times to try as many things off of their really great menu as you can manage with inexpensive lunch specials. Double Golden is light on salt and grease, so come hungry!

Ive been going to this place since they opened and the food is gret along with the freindly service. All the foot taste fresh not frozen. Its a good place for lunch or dinner. anyone who likes chinese food will love this place. Iv never been dissapointed.
