I came to Mr. Yu with pretty much zero ballet experience, and now I can see a huge transformation in my ability and appreciation of ballet.   Following my first lesson, I immediately signed on to his studio and now years later I am still looking forward to taking each class.I was so lucky to find such a highly qualified teacher in the South Bay.  With his decades of performance and teaching, he has developed a humble manor and lots of patience. His teaching is detailed and focuses on building student's strength and beautiful body lines.  His hard work in class demonstrates his care for his students and makes all of us want to work harder.  He has built a wonderful ballet community that I am proud to be a part of.

This review is for the adult classes.  Before covid, these extremely popular adult classes filled up 10 to 12 students three days a week.  Similar attendance and reservation now required on zoom until we can safely return to the studio.  I have several good things to say:- it's a good workout.  I'm usually soaked in sweat at the end- corrections are helpful.  Yuxin always says to fix one thing at a time.  Emphasis is on strength and alignment.- for all levels.  Yuxin wants everyone to do well on both the advanced moves and basic fundamentals.  One leads to the other.

This year will be my daughter's 4th performance with Yu Xin Ballet School. She is looking forward to performing 'Swan Lake' with her other Swan Friends. She loves dancing ballet and friends that she has made. We hope to meet new families here.
