I came here on a Groupon when the pandemic was easing up. I wasn't prepared for the amount of cold water involved in the process but I enjoyed talking to Oogii about her Mongolian heritage. I came back last week and found the whole experience more relaxing. There was a communication glitch and I didn't get a treatment I asked about and assumed  I was getting.  That wasn't communicated to me, except to say that I "should come back in July" to get it.

I usually don't write reviews but I had a very good experience with Aesthetic OOGII so I wanted to sign up just to write a review. First of all, I found the office was very cozy, clean and welcoming with a nice view of the city. I felt very comfortable when I walked in.Second, OOGII was very professional to take care of my skin issues. I had acne and dark spots and she took care of them very well with proper machines, products and treatment skills.Third, she was very honest and did not recommend unnecessary treatments that other places usually do. I asked her if I needed any extra treatment but she wanted to do whatever is needed first and then we will see how it goes.I trust her professionalism and I definitely go back for future treatment. My skin already feels much nicer and smoother than before. I strongly recommend it!

TL;DR: Fake Hydrafacial machine, extremely unprofessional behaviors, avoid at all costs. There are a lot of great medical spas in SF and east bay with aestheticians supervised by medical doctors.I have had Hydrafacial (the real ones) multiple times, and I know they are not using the real ones; I have also done chemical peels at the dermatologist and have been using tretinoin 0.1% or more than a year. I did not have such bad peeling even with medium-depth in-office chemical peel. I became dubious about this place when they started using one of those face brushes to exfoliate, even on my eyelids. This is likely why the skin around my eyes was severely damaged because my skin was unevenly exfoliated. I had to see my dermatologist three days after the treatment. He was mad because he thought this "facial brush" madness had ended after Clarisonic went bankrupt. To this day, Oogii still insists it is an allergy and is not due to the treatment. However, she agreed to refund me the part I prepaid for the subsequent two treatments out of her "kindness." It took her almost two weeks, with a couple of my texts,  to get my refund. Another red flag I should've seen was before the treatment. She was communicating with her last client, that suffering from severe acne. All dermatologists who see her skin would agree that she needs immediate medical treatments like antibiotics, if not Accutane, to control the ance to prevent deep scars that are much harder to treat than acne. However, Ooggii believes she can help her by selling her skincare products. She exploits the trust of these clients for her benefit. So please, see a dermatologist if you have something like severe acne. And go for an aesthetician that is supervised by doctors. There are better places to go than this, even for skincare spa kind of treatments.

Aesthetic Oogii is my go-to spot for facials now! Oogii and her team are very professional. I forgot to mention I had sensitive skin, but they quickly identified, and adapted their techniques, to provide my skin with the correct care that is needed. The comparison of my skin before and after the facial was eye opening to me, as I was also educated on details of my skin that I was not aware of, and will be applying their professional suggestions to keep my skin as healthy as possible. My skin is now glowing (not red at all) and rid of impurities! As a Vegas local, I will still make the effort to come to the San Francisco area to come here for my facial! Thanks Oogii and her team!
