Service is quick and green sauce is still good here. AYCE is now $42 a person and coming during happy hour will save you a bit on appetizers and drinks from 4:30-6:30pm. Ventilation could be better here but solid spot for yummy shabu, especially during the colder days. Reservations are recommended but less busy on weekday nights than weekends. Loyal customer here and you get ice cream in the end!

I love shabu club!!! Just go for their cilantro dipping sauce! It's the best with their fresh meat. The veggies and meat are great quality. I always look forward to coming here when I visit the Bay Area.

Came here on a Tuesday night with a party of 8 and we were seated right away with a reservation even without our entire party present. However, we had a really hard time getting the staff's attention for broth or water refills throughout the night.Interior is fairly clean, but the tables/chairs were a bit unusual. Between the 8 of us, we got a table with two burners and the circular shaped table was suboptimal for sharing 2 pots in the middle as it was hard for everyone to reach. In terms of the food, we ended up getting two split pots (miso/spicy miso and tonkotsu/spicy tonkotsu). Most people in the party agreed that the spicy miso was the best out of the four, but to be honest it wasn't anything special. Although they do have AYCE here, we all got the set menus. I got the premium set with lamb (large) which was enough food but nowhere near the variety I like to have at hot pot.Set menu includes:- A plate of meat - 20 slices for large size, 16 slices for regular- A bowl of veggies - 1 shiitake mushroom, seafood mushrooms, tofu, cabbage, baby carrots, and a whole lot of spinach- Ramen, udon, or both!- Rice- Signature green sauce- Ice creamI typically expect slightly higher quality when not doing AYCE and the meat definitely met that, but the veggies and other things unfortunately fell short of my expectations, ESPECIALLY for the price point (ended up being ~$45 after everything!) The star of the show for me was their signature green sauce - a garlic cilantro ponzu sauce that was amazing on the meats and noodles! Besides that though, none of the other food really stood out for me.Overall, my hot pot craving unfortunately was not satisfied mainly due to the lack of variety. While I'm not necessarily against this place, it definitely would not be my first choice for hot pot and I'd personally prefer spending close to 50 bucks on a meal elsewhere.
