The "Leg of Beast" lives up to the hype -- glad we were able to sneak in a visit to Chris Constantino's Incanto before closing shop this month with a group of 8. The Menu: Starters - "Boccalone Antipasto Platter" "Heirloom Chicories, Balsamic, Pecorino" Main - "Braised Beef Shank - with Boccalone mustard & fresh Horseradish" with "Bone Marrow Bones (God's Butter) with Grilled Bread" Side - "Nervetti, Cannellini Beans and Sage" "Chard, Garlic, and Pangrattato" Dessert - "Elton Mess - meringue, grapefruit, cream and tarragon" Thanks for the great memories!

If you are a carnivore, if you are into pork, this place is for you. The braised pork shoulder was almost the best I ever had. The best goes to a former sous-chef of Quince who runs Cook With James. The owner said that we could eat here every day. Although I agree carefully choosing from the menu would allow that to happen, I don't think my arteries would take it. Still, if you can, eat here, everyday. :D

Hanging sausages and high ceilings greet you as you walk in to Incanto, where you'll find a pork-heavy dining experience which will leave your tummy full, but your heart wanting more. Romantic date-night spot perfect for a special occasion. Chris Cosentino is a talented chef with just a hint of crazy in-a-good-way style cooking that takes risks and delivers truly delightful dishes. My favorite thing to share is the boccalone salumi platter of sow, delighting the palate with pâté, mortadella, prosciutto along with pickled and fresh veggies. I also enjoyed the handkerchief pasta & rustic pork ragù, which if you like hearty, cozy meals, is not to be missed. People come here for the "leg of beast dining experience" and while I can't speak to that, I hope to come back someday soon with a hungry group of 6-8 people.
