Eko Kitche

My husband and I were searching for Beninese/Nigerian food and he found Eko Kitchen on a list of black woman owned businesses. The pounded yams and Egusi soup are incredible, we have not been able to find them anywhere but West Africa. The cinnamon Puff Puffs were excellent and a sweet treat after the meal. The staff was super friendly and helpful, I will 100% go back soon and order online via Grubhub!! I highly recommend Eko Kitchen!!

Such a fun evening! A group of us went to Eko last night for dinner and drinks and we sat on the back patio. The staff could not have been nicer! It's an interesting spot because it's in a shared restaurant space called Merkato which offers Mexican food. So the experience feels like a speakeasy...if you don't know now you know😉 We asked for the Eko menu instead of the regular and our mouths started watering. Everything sounded delicious, so I ordered the stewed spinach with chicken and rice, but my friends gave me tastes of their plantains and porridge. To top off the night we got these gorgeous nutmeg-sprinkled doughnut holes. I can't remember what they're called, but I'm having one for breakfast today 😁 If you're looking for the feeling of a home cooked meal with a dash of pizzazz, Eko is the place.
