During a job transition, Sr. VP Shelby Coletto Falvo was the biggest help while using a range of consultants, services, and networks. Shelby is empathetic, lightning quick with her responses via text or email, and constantly / consistently helping her clients find the ideal career and next role fit. She is the ultimate professional, going out of her way to provide valuable preparation, feedback, and follow up. Highly recommended, please seek Shelby out during your next admin search, whether it be in the Bay Area or NYC.

They either create fake job posts or steal posts from companies to try and recruit for them. You are more likely to generate interviews yourself, if you put in the effort. These people will just still your cover and resume info and never follow up.

Kim was UNREAL throughout this entire experience for me. She was prompt, informative, and beyond helpful each step of the way. I wouldn't have been able to get my current role if it weren't for her and her team. She made sure I was beyond prepared and always made me feel comfortable. The best experience I've had with any recruiter!

The way Truex Metier handled my job search illustrated to me their commitment to positive psychology.  I recommend job seekers to go to them for jobs and clients to go to them for candidates.  Though there are many reasons to use them on both sides, the main reason is that they are committed to matching what their job seekers want to what companies are offering (and equally, if not more, what companies want to what their candidates have to offer).I am a proactive person and my move to SF was very calculated.  My last boss asked if I was willing to do a nine months transition period, and since I agreed, I had a lot of time to plan.  A month prior to moving to SF, I posted my updated resume online to attract recruiters -- along with directly emailing a handful of agencies.  From my experience in LA about three years ago, I expected 1-2 recruiters out of 20 would connect with me (and I to them) and actually try to match me to jobs that I qualify for and would want long-term.  The other 18 I expected to play the numbers game and just throw my resume out into the employment sea along with a lot of their other candidates to see what catches.  IMHO, it's important to fit job seekers and employers in other ways than skills, especially for employers who want long term commitment.  The keyword is "fit."  Personally, I want long term and Truex Metier is working hard to match me to their clients who want long term employees and can offer growth over time.I feel they are even more diligent with their clients.  Mary Ann, who is a super busy President, took an hour one Friday to gauge my interest on one of her clients.  She wanted to make sure I could see myself in the position for awhile.  In addition, we also did some interview prepping.Out of 33 recruiting calls from before I came to SF until the end of my 1st week in SF, I only met with 10 recruiters.  I tried to work with 8 by the end of my 1st week and by the end of my 2nd week, it was down to 2 with Truex Metier being one of them.  From my 2nd week to the end of my 3rd week, I received another 8 calls, met with 1, and added no additional recruiters since I wanted time to do my own search.  I will not pretend I am in some kind of position of power.  As a job-seeker, I am in a vulnerable position and I will admit that. However, I was not looking to play the numbers game.  With long term in mind since I am now in a city a truly love and want stability, it's definitely quality over quantity - and PATIENCE.  I never expect any recruiting firm to have patience with me but Truex Metier did.  They're an exception and that's what makes them exceptional.Mary Ann or her associates, after each interview, asks if I want the job I interviewed for on a scale of 1 to 10.  What is rare is that they allow me the chance to think and say no.  I'll tell you, no recruiter has made me feel safe to say no - and that's so important to insure a match between clients and candidates.  As I mentioned, being a job-seeker is a vulnerable position to be in and recruiters can definitely take advantage of that.  With Truex Metier, I feel they have their clients in mind when they allow candidates to truly express their opinions and feelings post-interview.  They're not looking for a quick match from either side settling.  It's because of this that I really enjoy working with them.  I haven't gone to see a lot of their clients (nor was it my goal); it was a handful and I can report, they all matched my desire if not more. What I have said so far are my reasons for giving 5 stars.  Below is why I would give them a 10...Years ago, one generous recruiter in LA picked my resume to shreds and showed me the error of my ways.  It actually wasn't that bad, but when resumes get less than a minute of attention at first glance, it's desirable to have it strong.  The feedback changed how I did my resume and was a turning point.Mary Ann did something similar to my interviewing style.  Her feedback and guidance was so fantastic, constructive, and intelligent, I went right to work polishing up my interviewing techniques.  It's not new advice that one can't find in a book.  However, the way she showed me clicked something inside of me and I'm definitely interviewing more intelligently.  Amazing?  Not yet at all but definitely far superior than before.  I honestly don't even know how I got the jobs I got in the past with the way I had interviewed.  This is an unexpected benefit and I'm forever grateful. Before I end, I want to give general guidance to job-seekers from my experience with working with recruiters.  They are a resource but do not expect to place your responsibility of getting a job on others.  In addition, you should know what you want and find the right recruiter for your needs -- one that can match your level, industry, profession, and skills.  Do not get discouraged if a recruiter doesn't take you on.  Easier said than done but stay confident to persevere.

Thuha is your career finding angel! Her calm and supportive energy creates an amazing atmosphere in a generally otherwise stressful situation. She's there for you every step of the way and makes sure to make herself available if you need it. She's professional, yet caring and understanding, and an expert communicator. I feel like I'm in good hands with her and can redirect any worrisome energy I'd have if I were on my own into building more confidence and making sure to represent myself as the best candidate possible. Kerry, the person who works with me for payroll since I'm on a temp-to-hire position, is also amazing. Based off my experience, this whole company is extremely responsive and works hard to get you what you want and need. They go the extra mile to make sure you feel supported and uplifted about your career trajectory!
