Good luck getting in. Even if you applied early, there is no guarantee that you will get in.  Helen,  the director is very nice on the phone and will give you the impression that your child will get accepted, but after you have already submitted the app fee, she then will turn around tell you to also look for other schools because of the large number of applicants and that you will need to be on the waiting list for an additional fee. But, a friend of my sister in law was able to get in right away because she knew someone who knew Helen. Why bother having a waiting list if some who knows someone can bump you off the list?

Looking for a good preschool that fits your child and you as parents is very stressful. We visited several preschools with our son, and Starlight was where we felt most comfortable. My advice is to bring your child to see how they feel in the environment. My son goes to the Sunset location and has been attending for 8 months, and he has grown up so much since. When he first started he couldn't really talk, but now he can express things that he needs and wants.  He is now also a better listener. The school is academic (learning alphabet, numbers and more) and they have play time too (playground and play time for kids at the end of the day). The teachers are all very patient, and they take good care of the children, I feel at ease to know that I am leaving him in good hands. I am so grateful and always feel lucky that he is at Starlight, they have taught my son so much already, academically and socially. In a way, they have also taught us to be better parents, definitely one of the best decisions we've made for his introduction into school. And as most parents want to know other details, here's additional information:* The tuition includes breakfast, lunch and snacks.* Hours are 7am - 6pm* Child must be potty-trained

We are truly thankful for what Starlight 2 did with my son, who has been to the Vicente campus for the past 2.5 years.  He has grown so much through out these years - academically and personal development!  He learns manner from Ms Jeannie.  He loves to come home and teach me new songs or new dance moves he learn from school.  Lately, he started drawing cartoons and tried little "prepared to be amazed" magic, which I thank Mr. Michael for that.  My boy also made many good friends, both from his own age group and from the younger classes.  We are so sad that his little brother won't be able to go to the same school, since we have to move to the east bay.  I pray to God that he will again lead us to another preschool that is as genuine as starlight 2 in Pleasanton. We will sure miss every teacher from this school!

My oldest son went to Starlight.  He has now just finished Kindergarten.  The experience he received at Starlight made him more than prepared enough to move on to the private school we've put him in.  Kids of other parents I know struggled to keep up in class while our son excelled.  He was not the exception, there were about 6 other kids from his preschool class that continued on to Kindergarten with him.  They each performed well above average.My second son is starting preschool with Starlight today and I'm really looking forward interacting with the great people at this school again!If you're in need of a preschool, I highly recommend Starlight.  Just make sure you get your application in long before your child is ready.  The wait list is very long.
